慈悲聖母的類型中以弗拉蒂米爾是為最知名的聖像畫，這幅畫是在君士坦丁堡繪製的，於西元1130年帶到基輔，並在主曆1169年從那裡帶到弗拉蒂米爾。於1395年8月26日，在祈求從帖木兒的部落救援的遊行中，被帶進到莫斯科，並安置在克里姆林宮的聖母安眠主教座堂。此圖成為俄羅斯人民反對韃靼人入侵戰爭的記號。
Our Lady of Vladimir is the most famous icon painting of the tenderness type, which was painted in Constantinople, and was brought to Kiev in 1130AD. In 1169 AD, the icon was brought to Vladimir. In 26 August 1395, the icon was brought to Moscow and was place in the recumbent Mother of God’s Cathedral at Moscow Kremlin. This image has become a symbol of Russia’s against the invasion of Tatars.
